Rally for the Forests, Melboune, 18 May 2002
Over 5000 people attended this rally at Batman Park in Melbourne to hear
international and local speakers condemning the destruction of Victoria's
native forests. The rally was an outstanding success, bringing
more than 5000 people from the bush and city to the front doors of the
Victorian ALP State Conference. Fantastic guest speakers including
Professor David Bellamy and Senator Bob Brown and entertainment from Killing
Heidi, made the rally a politically powerful yet fun event for the family.
