The Libs may believe they have exorcised the Kennett demons with the election of Helen Kroger as state president of the Liberal Party (The Age, 31/3) - but if it thinks an environment and education friendly platform is the ticket to power, then nothing is likely to save them from the political scrap heap.
The last thing Victoria needs is another trendy left political agenda to accommodate the noisy elites. Haven't they noticed that Labor and the Greens have that territory well covered. If you want to strike a contrasting chord with the electorate, why not develop family-friendly policies that tackle the tax and other inequities?
