So the logging industry is withholding a trifling $6 million in royalties. Stop complaining. After all, this industry creates a handful of jobs statewide and boosts tourism for people who like moonscapes and clearfell logging sites. Loggers get greater subsidies than conservation groups get grants.

I refer to your editorial (The Age 2/11) "Land clearing a national scandal" and "Australia worston greenhouse'' (TheAge 4/11). This is a disgrace. The Government should be held accountable for its environmental policy, which is endangering humanity.
