Michael Kate Shipden

O ur Kennel "Alhambra" began in 1984, when Michael Keely (of the Carlaminda and Clonbar Springers, Australia) married Kate Muirhead (of the Shipden Kennels, UK)

We have both been involved in show dogs for 35+ years, and have made up Champions in the UK and Australia. Also, we have titled several breeds other than Springers.

"Alhambra" breeds only one litter a year and our Springers are bred to be versatile typical energetic dogs - happy to be pets, obedience or working dogs. We select for correct temperament, type and conformation, never markings.

Our dogs are shown fearlessly at as many Specialties and Royals as we can attend .

"We are dedicated to breeding and exhibiting top class English Springers of the correct English type that can be shown successfully under Judges from anywhere in the World, (who will be judging to the UK standard, as adopted by the ANKC.)"
